Inward Exemptions for Travel to Australia Are Now Available for Prospective Marriage Visa Holders

In some cases, prospective marriage visa holders are now eligible for travel exemptions.
Individual exemptions have been expanded to include a new category:
A holder of a Prospective Marriage (subclass 300) visa in the following circumstances:
the subclass 300 visa has been granted;
the subclass 300 visa application was lodged at least 12 months prior to filing a travel exemption request.
This means that if you applied for a subclass 300 visa on or before August 18, 2020, and were approved, you will be eligible for an inwards travel exemption on August 18, 2021.
Before traveling to Australia, you must have a visa and an exemption from the country’s travel restrictions. You can apply for an exemption online, but you’ll need to back up your claims with acceptable evidence. If inadequate proof is given, requests may be closed without further examination. All documents must be translated into English by an official translator.
You must submit for an exemption at least two weeks, but no more than two months, prior to your scheduled travel.
If you are not granted an exemption, you should cancel your plans to travel to Australia since you will not be allowed to board an aircraft. If you are granted a travel exemption, you must bring proof of the exemption decision with you to the airport.
